Melbourne-based electric motorcycle builder Savic has launched its latest range of winter apparel through its Culture brand. They’ve also committed to donate 40 per cent from sales made this week (13-19 June) to Movember, in support of Men’s Health Week.

While Savic continues to develop their flagship electric motorcycle, the ‘C-Series’, the clothing label’s second collection continues to be driven by the conscious use of materials, for their garments and unboxing experience.

The designs were meticulously refined to try and capture the culture around the workshop, the Melbourne cityscape and the collective passion for Savic Motorcycles. The new range includes the brand’s first women’s streetwear cropped sweatshirt too.

Offered with a short cut and oversized fit, this stylish and sustainable staple will be available in olive green, pastel pink and traditional black. It’s joined by a men’s Flight bomber jacket, with a tailored fit, and in-house designed print for the inner lining.

“Building the right culture is important to us,” Savic’s head of apparel Michael D’Amico said.

“Whether that’s the culture we’re building around our workshop or the culture we’re building around electric motorcycling in Australia, we want to represent and share our values with our customers.”

A Neon Culture long sleeve top takes inspiration from the 206 Bourke Street signage, to capture the Melbourne lifestyle in a bold red back print. Every product in the range has also undergone a robust process to ensure the fit and materials used, offer longevity.

This has been done to prevent fast fashion mentality, as well as giving customers a premium product. Savic is also working to reduce its reduce its carbon footprint, transitioning to recycled polyester for the new garments.

rPET, or polyethylene terephthalate, is a recycled polyester that’s made by melting down old drink bottles, jars and other used plastics to create a soft, durable, woven fabric. Its use has allowed Savic to repurpose pre existing waste without compromising quality.

“For our 2022 winter collection, our snug Puffer Jacket and a stylish Flight Bomber are both made from 100 per cent rPET inside and out, and the remainder of the garments in the collection have been designed for warmth and comfort, using a 65 per cent rPET and 35 per cent cotton blend,” D’Amico said.

“Sustainability is one of our core values and we’re continuing to design and challenge the streetwear scene for a more ethical approach to creating streetwear that our customers are proud to wear.”
