Shirt jackets, or shackets as they've playfully been renamed, continue to reign supreme in the world of lightweight outerwear. If you haven't yet tried the trend out for yourself, then we found one version that's perfect for the season available at Nordstrom.

The BlankNYC Long Fleece Shacket (shop here in Canada, here in the U.S.) is an updated take on the trend, thanks to its longer length and soft fleece construction.

While this jacket is still available to shop, we don't expect it to stay that way for much longer. Some sizes are already low stock, and we predict this shirt jacket will become Nordstrom's next sellout style.

In case you haven't yet jumped on board the shacket trend, there's still time to add one to your wardrobe as the versatile style is the perfect piece to transition your wardrobe for fall. Wear one on its own now, or over a thicker sweater once the temperatures start to drop in the weeks to come.

This fleece shirt-jacket is crafted from a rugged yet cozy fabric that will keep you feeling warm and cozy all season long. Striking the perfect balance between comfortable and cool, it features a relaxed silhouette and patch pocket details for a laid-back vibe.

Shoppers can find the jacket in two colours, brown or green, while it retails for $138 CAD/$80 USD.

Shoppers have said that this jacket is "cozy but not too heavy or too warm" and is "perfect for throwing over a thin sweater." However, due to the longer length, those on the petite side may find this jacket to be too long as one reviewer found that it reached "way longer than mid thigh."

Although this shirt jacket is a new arrival at Nordstrom, it's already a hit among shoppers as certain sizes and colours are already low in stock in Canada. Given that it's currently on sale in the U.S. in both the standard and plus size versions, you can bet that it will surely follow suit.

You'll want to grab one while it's still sweater weather, and before it sells out for good.
